Te Moana Nui Traditional Games is a competitive event celebrating, promoting and perpetuating ancestral sports of Oceania
Wednesday, November 11th (Veteran’s Day) 2026 at Waimea Valley, North Shore, O’ahu
Tickets are $5 for all Kama’aina ages 4 and over | $10 for general
FREE for all active and retired military.
There will also be a concert on Sunday, November 8th to celebrate 10 years of Te Moana Nui Games in Hawai’i. More info to come!

8-8:45am - Athlete Check-in/Weigh-ins
9am - Opening Ceremony at Heiau by Entrance Parking lot
10am - Coconut Tree Race at the Palm Meadow (Tauma Haʻari)
11 :30am - Fruit Carrying Race begins at Hale Hoʻike, ends at Upper Medow (Timau Ra'au)
12:30pm - Lunch Break
1:30pm - Stone Lifting (Amora’a ‘Ōfa’i)
2:30pm - Hawaiian Makahiki Demonstration
3:30pm - Tahiti Mana performance and Award ceremony in the Amphitheater
4:30pm End

Registration is FREE. Registration opens October 14 and deadline is October 30th. Registration will not be open after the deadline. If a category reaches the maximum amount of participants before the deadline, registration will have to close early since too many participants will prevent the event from running on time.
